Circus Weeks
No matter what skills you have coming in to camp, we will challenge you to learn a variety of new skills, and to take your existing skills as far as you can. Whether this is your first experience with circus, or you're looking for advanced level training, you will find it in our programs. Our day consists of classes focused on a specific circus arts, such as acrobatics, stilt walking, wire walking, juggling Aerial Fabrics, clowning, and physical comedy. Campers also have a swim time, and some time for regular camp activities.
Aerial Dance Week: July 26-30
Calling all dancers! During this very special week of circus camp, Simply Circus staff will be teaching the art of Aerial Dance, with a focus on dancing with Aerial Fabrics! Throughout the day, students will also take classes in more traditional dance styles (such as ballet, jazz and modern dance), as well as classes on lifts and counterbalances.
Circus Tumbling Week: August 2-6
Attention tumblers! Want to get that elusive back handspring/tuck/layout? Would you like to get more power in your tumbling passes? Let us help you! During this week of circus camp, our focus will be on tumbling, and tumbling related acts. We will have classes in areas such as power tumbling, handstand and hand balancing technique, back handspring clinics, injury prevention, partner acrobatics and more! While you do not need to be an active tumbler to enroll in this camp, if you are an active tumbler, this is a camp you don’t want to miss!
Circus arts campers should wear a unitard or biketard and bring a bathing suit, towel, water bottle, and change of clothes with them everyday. Each camper will also receive a detailed handbook allowing them to continue practicing their skills outside of camp.
