CASC Specialty Camps were designed to offer camp families additional options to experience throughout the summer. Most specialty camps run 9:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m. (unless otherwise noted) and will include juice, a morning snack, and a hot lunch in our spacious, air-conditioned dining hall. A camp t-shirt is also provided. Every day, campers will have an optional free swim and one activity choice in addition to their specialty areas of concentration.

Soccer Camp
June 23 27, August 4 - 8
Boys and girls ages 7 14 • Cost: $540
This five-day soccer camp utilizes the latest techniques in training and instruction, with the aid of modern equipment and excellent facilities, and provides each camper with help in individual skills and the application of these skills to group tactics. Campers will be provided instruction based on their needs and abilities. There will daily camp games and fun activities which will be used to help instill technical skills, footwork, sportsmanship, teamwork, and FUN!
Campers will be grouped by skill level and will spend the morning in skill development. In the afternoon session, small sided and full games will allow campers to practice their skills in a real game setting. Each camper should bring cleats, shinguards, mouthguard, water bottle, bathing suit, and towel.

Boys Lacrosse Camp

Boys entering grades 1 8 • Cost: $425
Concord Academy Summer Camp has once again teamed up with Leading Edge Lacrosse for 2008. Leading Edge Lacrosse programs always focus on the basic fundamental skills of lacrosse. Regardless of your current skill level, there is always room for improvement. Campers will be divided by age/skill level and will participate in station drills, position-specific drills, and game situation drills, working their way up to full-field scrimmages. Our passion is lacrosse and our goal is to make every camper a better player by the end of each day.
Campers can bring their own equipment or rent it from Leading Edge. If you need to rent equipment, please call or email the camp office before July 1, 2008.

MiNi LaXeRs
July 14 18

This is a fun, exciting introduction to lacrosse. Basic skills of throwing, catching, cradling, shooting, and ground balls will be taught. The only equipment Mini Laxers need is a stick. Campers interested in general camp in addition the one hour lacrosse lesson, can also register for Kiddie Camp or Day Camp, please contact the camp office for additional information.

Girls Lacrosse Camp

Girls entering grades 5 8 • Cost: $425
Beginners welcome!
Join local high school coaches and standout players for this one-week girls lacrosse camp to improve your lacrosse skills. The program will consist of drills and fundamentals for beginners as well as more advanced players. You will also learn about offensive and defensive strategies and ways to apply these strategies to a team format. Daily camp games and fun activities will be used to help instill technical skills, sportsmanship, and teamwork. Campers should bring their own stick, goggles, water bottle, bathing suit, and towel.

All Sports Camp

A popular camp program is for campers that cannot get enough of Sports, Sports, Sports! Each day campers will focus on a different sport, skills, drills, and game play. Teamwork will be emphasized as well as sportsmanship and of course, FUN! Some of the sports may include, but are not limited to: baseball, soccer, street hockey, lacrosse, flag football, basketball, volleyball, and more!

Baseball Camp
July 21 25
Boys and girls ages 7 9 • Cost: $540
This beginner/intermediate level baseball camp will provide basic baseball instruction and game play. Morning drills will focus on throwing and catching, fielding, hitting, and game strategy. Afternoons will consist of small-sided as well as full sized games. A combination of regular baseballs as well as Indoor “Ragball”- style baseballs will be used. All Campers should bring their own baseball glove. An emphasis will be placed on teamwork, fair game play, sportsmanship, and of course FUN!

Basketball Camps *New for 2008*
New for 2008, CASC is offering two basketball programs, an advanced clinic for experienced players and basketball camp for players of all levels. Both of these exciting programs will be led by CA’s assistant director of athletics, Jenny Brennan. Jenny, a four year starter at Connecticut College, is in her sixth season of coaching at Concord Academy and grew up playing recreational and AAU basketball. Coaching with Jenny will be elite CA and college athletes.
Basketball Camp
June 23 27
Boys and girls ages 9-13 • Cost: $540
The CA Basketball camp is open to players of all levels. The focus will be on building skills from proper shooting form and ball handling skills to positioning and game play. Campers will be given drills they can work on inside or outside of the gym that will help them understand the fundamentals of the game. A camp day will be filled by a balance of skill work and fun game play for both individuals and teams. An emphasis is placed on making sure the campers are having fun while learning or improving the basic fundamentals of the game of basketball.
Advanced Basketball Clinic
June 30 July 3*
Boys and girls ages 12-14 • Cost: $465
The Concord Academy Basketball Clinic is perfect for players interested in improving their skills and taking their game to the next level. Campers will learn everyday drills and skills that are essential to taking your game to the next level. The clinic is designed for experienced players with a focus on improving fundamentals and game play. It is meant to be a starting point for players who are committed to using the off-season to improve their game. Focus will be on improving individual performance and team work.

Golf Camp *New for 2008*
July 7 -11, July 14 18
Boys and Girls ages 10 13 • Cost: $700
This new exciting program is just what your young golfer is looking for. Each day campers in golf camp will travel to Shaker Hills Golf Course in Harvard, where they will receive lessons in all areas of the game. Head Golf Pro, Mike Herrick, and his staff will lead instructions on swing, stance, grip, short and long games, putting, chipping, and game play. Campers will utilize Shaker Hill’s top of the line driving/pitching ranges and putting greens, as well as actual playing time on the beautiful course. Golf Campers will leave CA by 9:30 every morning by van or bus and will return in time for one o’clock lunch. In the afternoon golf campers will participate in traditional camp choices and free swim.
Campers can bring their own clubs or rent them from Shaker Hills. If you need to rent clubs, please call or email the camp office before July 1, 2008.

Tennis Camp
1 Week Sessions, offered every week
Boys and girls ages 7 18 • Cost $550
Concord Academy Summer Camp has again partnered with New England Team Tennis (NETT) to offer the highest quality Tennis Camp in the area. Eric Meyer, the Director of NETT and the Head Tennis Coach at Concord Academy since 1994, heads a staff led by Assistant Director Barry Ndinya. Camps are open to junior players ages 7 18 and all levels from the Beginners to the Nationally Ranked. Courts are separated by ability and then structured accordingly. Daily programs include stretching and footwork, feeding drills, live ball drills, strategic point play, match play, field games, and fitness. Time is set aside for daily free swim and/or personalized instruction. Younger players may also opt for an afternoon camp activity if preferred. New England Team Tennis was a recipient of the William Freedman Award for Outstanding Contribution in Junior Development in New England and continues to be one of the premier junior tennis programs in the Northeast. Teen Wilderness Adventure
August 18 - 22
Boys and girls entering grades 7 10 • Cost $900
This program is an exciting opportunity for our teen campers who are ready to experience the outdoors for a whole week. Teen Wilderness Adventure consists of a five-day, four-night camping trip to Maine, and is similar to our regular Teen Adventure Camp overnighters. We will utilize the resources available through Adventure Bound, or a similar organization, to introduce campers to numerous outdoor activities, including camping, rock climbing, white water rafting, hiking, and canoeing. Campers will leave for Maine on Monday morning and will return to Concord Academy on Friday afternoon.

Flag Football *New for 2008*

Boys and Girls ages 8 - 12 • Cost: $540
New for 2008 By popular demand. Sports Director Nick Wilson, a former football player and coach and current high school teacher, will lead this one-week exciting camp exploring the fundamentals of position and strategy of football, in a low-contact, no-pads, safe environment. Participants will learn to play every position of the game on offense, defense, and the kicking game. Mornings will consist of warm-ups, skill building, and drills, while the afternoon scrimmages will allow practice in an actual game environment. Teamwork will be emphasized as well as sportsmanship and, of course, FUN!
